Why Give?

The Baltimore Child Abuse Center is a not for profit 501c3 organization that relies upon generous supporters like you to help protect children from sexual abuse and assist them to start their lives anew.  Every child deserves to feel safe and protected.  Every child deserves a new beginning.  Our programs and services are not possible without your support.

Please consider a gift of:

$50 - Taxi service for 3 families to BCAC

$100 - Provides educational materials for a parents support group

$230 - A new beginning for one sexually abused child - This includes high quality interviews, treatment referrals and medical examinations

$500 - Supports BCAC's Prevention Education Campaign

$1000 - Support a five month family crisis counseling program

$2300 - Be a guardian angel, sponsor new beginnings for 10 children

How does BCAC spend your gift?

BCAC operates a lean efficient organization. Studies conducted by the National Children's Alliance and the National Children's Advocacy Center estimate that a center like BCAC which costs about $1.5 million to operate annually would cost the City of Baltimore almost $5 million to run. Furthermore, most centers demonstrate that they can save government 40 to 60% by running the program under one roof.

Below is a breakdown of BCAC's FY2009 expenses per each service category - it also shows the number of people we help within each section.
