Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Overview

An overview of BCAC's Prevention Awareness Community Education (P.A.C.E.) program, emphasizing the importance of prevention efforts in our communities, and how we plan to end child sexual abuse in Baltimore.

 

Responding to Child Sexual Abuse

An overview of the dynamics of child sexual abuse, MD law and COMAR, mandated reporting and confidentiality, and responsibilties of "First Responders."

Care for Kids

A train-the-trainer program for early childhood educators, care providers and parents who work with children ages 3-8.  This program is designed to teach parents and professionals how to talk to young children about their own bodies, how to identify feelings, and people they can trust.

Nurturing Healthy Sexual Development

A train-the-trainer program for parents, professionals, and care providers, designed to train them in how to identify the normal behavioral and sexual development of children. By learning how to separate developmentally appropriate behaviors, adults can better identify early indicators of abuse and abusers.

SAFE-T (Sexual Abuse Free Environment for Teens):

A two-day training program designed for parents and professionals who work with middle school aged children. SAFE-T is designed to promote the prevention of sexual abuse and youth violence.
